Parents,
We have a few changes that are happening in Powerhouse Middle School Ministries at ABT and I’m excited to tell you about them! First of all though, I would like to thank you for trusting us with your students. I know that raising a teenager is not the easiest task in the world and we are so grateful to partner with you in helping connect your student to Jesus every week.
As you probably know, Andy and Jennifer Whittaker (former heads of Powerhouse MSM) moved into a full-time ministry position at a church in Tennessee about 6 weeks ago. During these past few weeks I have been working a lot behind the scenes to keep Powerhouse up to the standard that they set. Our team of leaders are amazing and have been so great during this transition time. After a lot of prayer, observations and conversations we have made some decisions that will benefit our students tremendously.
Amy and Mike Fife as well as Jill and Kevin Batty are now the co-heads of Powerhouse MSM under my direction. Amy and Mike have been leaders in Powerhouse for a year and bring an energy, excitement and passion that is hard to find in a youth leader. Jill and Kevin are lifelong members of ABT and bring fresh eyes and a new perspective to our already thriving Middle School Ministry. They love Jesus, love serving and most importantly, love students! I am confident and excited about the future of Powerhouse with these amazing people at the helm.
Our current structure, meeting times and awesome format will not be changing any time soon. God has certainly blessed Powerhouse over the past 3 years and I know He wants to do even more in the future. Please feel free to come into Powerhouse and introduce yourself to our entire staff and get to know these great people that love your students!
We would love to see you on a Sunday morning at 9am for waffles or before or after our Wednesday night get togethers which are from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Beginning this Wednesday we are starting a superhero theme month! Your students are not going to want to miss this!
